Beauty Bulb

Beauty Bulb

Project Overview

We were approached by Faye Speedie at Beauty Bulb and asked to design and build a website to support her new business.

Formed in 2018, Beauty Bulb are a multi-functional consultancy company operating exclusively within the beauty industry and specialising in sales and commercial strategy.

It was always Faye’s intention to use social media, particularly Instagram, to grow the business online, so this was a big consideration in the design of the homepage.

The design needed to be modern and fresh and to simply communicate the services on offer to potential businesses and clients, whilst showcasing the latest news and activity across social media channels.

Client Feedback

“Working with Grow Digital on the launch of the Beauty Bulb website was fantastic! They totally got my vision from the outset.

They were extremely flexible and patient with my ever-changing demands, and were instrumental in the creation of the site – both from a content and visual point of view.

I can’t recommend Grow Digital enough! I have already introduced them to several contacts who required support with new websites and upgrades to their existing ones.

Every one of them has been super happy!”

St Teresa’s Catholic Primary

Project Overview

We were approached by Vinny Turner, headteacher at St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School in Newcastle Upon Tyne and asked to completely redesign and rebuild the school website.

The old school website was bland and didn’t reflect the vibrancy of the school. The information architecture was poorly designed; which meant information was really hard to find, and basic features – such as onsite search – were not present.

The old website had been built without a content management system (CMS) meaning that updates could only be done by one or two members of staff.

For this project, we implemented a CMS with a workflow, where all staff could create content but only the management team could publish. The information architecture was redesigned and only key content was migrated from the old to the new site.

We ensured that the new design reflected the vibrancy of the school, bringing through the colours of the school badge. We also ensured that any imagery used was reflective of day-to-day life at St Teresa’s.

The images below show side-by-side comparisons of the homepage; the left-hand image is the original homepage and the right-hand image is the new homepage design.
